Creating Magic Memory Stick and Installing Pandora Battery
HOW TO MAKE YOUR OWN MAGIC MEMORY
STICK AND CUSTOM FIRMWARE YOUR PSP (EASIEST WAY EVER)
Although it may seem pretty confusing, making a Magic Memory Stick for
your PSP is a simpler process than it appears. Installing the Custom
Firmware is just another step later and is as simple as making the
Magic Memory Stick. With this step by step guide, everyone will be
capable of making a Magic Memory Stick and installing Custom Firmware
without any problems in just a couple of minutes at home. Follow the
guide carefully and take a close look at every detail.
*REMEMBER THAT ALL DATA ON YOU CURRENT MEMORY STICK WILL BE ERASED SO
ANY IMPORTANT DATA SAVE IT ONTO YOUR COMPUTER PRIOR TO THE PROCESS
*ALSO REMEMBER TO HAVE YOUR NORMAL BATTERY AND YOUR PANDORA BATTERY
FULLY CHARGED OR ABOVE 75% OF CHARGE (YOU DON'T WANT YOUR PSP
TO RUN OUT OF BATTERY
DURING THE
PROCESS).
*DON'T TRY TO RUN THIS TUTORIAL ON WINDOWS VISTA, IT WILL ONLY WORK IF
YOU
USE WINDOWS XP OR LOWER. WINDOWS VISTA USERS MUST FOLLOW VISTA
TUTORIAL.
THIS
IS THE FASTEST WAY TO MAKE A MAGIC MEMORY STICK:
1. - First you must download the files from the given URL.
2. - Open the "Pandora___Universal_Downgrader_Easy_Installer.rar"
archive downloaded from the site.
3. - Once opened with the RAR or ZIP application, enter the Pandora
files and run the "autorun.exe" file
4. - Next the program will run a Pop-up. This displays 4 steps to
complete the process.
5. - Press on the first step. This will tell you to connect your PSP
via USB mode to the computer. Take note on what driver your PSP.
6. - A window will appear asking for you to identify your PSP driver.
Search for it and press OK.
7. - After this follow the second step on the Pop-up. The computer will
show a command prompt and will ask for you to just press Y. Press the Y
key and Enter. (This command prompt on other tutorials is done
manually, but this Pandora file does the prompt automatically to make
it even easier.)
8. - Once done follow step three. This will make the prompt format the
Memory Stick on the PSP; as done before just press Y and Enter.
9. - After doing this, exit USB mode on your PSP and restart it (Turn
it off and on again properly).
10. - Once on, inter USB mode once again. Notice that all the prior
files on the Memory Stick have been erased.
11. - At step four, just press the GO button and the prompt will
automatically start writing files from the Pandora RAR towards the
Memory Stick. Everything should go normal. The window will tell you to
go to the PSP drive and run a Pandora file (this is just if you already
have CFW) so just don’t take this in consideration.
12. - Press the exit button from the Pop-up and exit USB mode from your
PSP.
NOW
DOWNGRADING AND INSTALLING THE CUSTOM FIRMWARE:
13. - Now remove the Magic Memory Stick and the Normal Battery. Insert
your Pandora Battery carefully (can be bought at our website). The
green light indicating power should go on; then re-insert the Magic
Memory Stick. The PSP should turn on automatically within a few seconds
and display a menu like this:
14. - Press X to install the 3.71 M33 Custom Firmware.
15. - After it finishes you must follow the next steps to make it work;
otherwise the PSP will freeze when turned on. Take the Pandora Battery
from the PSP and place the Normal Battery.
16. - Hold the R button and turn the PSP on at the same time. This menu
should appear:
17. - Other tutorials tell you to go over to "Configuration"; but you
must not do that, go over to "Advanced" instead. This menu should
appear at Advanced:
18. - Press X in the last choice "Format flash1 and reset settings".
Once done press "Back" and afterwards "Exit".
19. - And that's it! You are now the owner of a PSP with a Magic
MemoryStick and Custom Firmware installed!
